Commission model (simple version):
- Option A – Once-off referral bonus:
  - Affiliate gets a flat $X when a referred client signs up and pays their first invoice.
- Option B – Recurring commission:
  - Affiliate gets X% of the client’s bookkeeping fee for the first 3–6 months.
At your stage, Option A (simple once-off bonus) is easier to track manually in a spreadsheet.
4. How the “affiliate link” could work
The “affiliate link” is really just a unique tracking method for each partner.
You can implement this in a few non-technical ways:
- Unique booking link per affiliate:
  - Example: https://ezydatabookkeeping.wix/ref
  - You can manually note ref= in your intake form when someone books.
- Affiliate referral code:
  - Example: referal2025
  - On your intake form, add: “Do you have a referral code?” and track it in a simple sheet.
- Manual referral form:
  - Affiliates complete a short form with the potential client’s name and contact details, and you log it as their referral.
